Thanks for stopping by! My name is Kevin Greentree and I’m the Minnesota Nerd. I live in Rochester, MN with my beautiful wife and three sons. I work full time as an analyst for a large company’s website; but I’ve always had a passion for tinkering with technology and helping others along the way.
Since I was a little kid, I’ve loved tinkering with technology. My parents weren’t too happy when I messed up a few of their computers. In fact, one of them got messed up enough it started to smoke a little! Through constant trial and error and mistakes along the way I have learned a lot. I have taught myself to solve all kinds of problems with technology. As a result I often find myself playing the role of personal IT Helpdesk for many of my friends and family.
Aside from self teaching my whole life, I have a bachelors degree from Concordia University, St. Paul with a major in Information Technology Management and a Minor in Computer Science. I have eight years of IT type experience in a professional setting. And I even more years of experience building websites, fixing people’s computers and more. I spent two years working at Best Buy where I became very familiar with all kinds of consumer technology products.
